Step-by-step walkthrough
Step 1: Collect the list of relevant items. Ask respondents to select which items from a list are relevant to them.
Step 2: Create a rating question for each item. Set up individual rating questions for each item in the full list.
Step 3: Apply display conditions. Add a display condition to each rating question so it only shows if the respondent selected that item.
Step 4: Add a summary question. After the rating questions, display a summary of only the items the respondent rated.
Step 5: Export and analyse. The exported data will show ratings only for selected items - use missing data handling appropriately in analysis.
