Step-by-step walkthrough
Step 1: Add required question validation. Mark questions as required to prevent respondents from skipping them.
Step 2: Add range validation. For numeric questions, set minimum and maximum acceptable values.
Step 3: Add pattern validation. Use regular expressions to validate text formats - for example email addresses or postcodes.
Step 4: Add sum validation. For allocation questions where responses must sum to 100%, add a sum constraint.
Step 5: Customise error messages. Write clear, helpful error messages that tell respondents exactly what needs to be corrected.
