Step 1: Understand the use case. When attribute labels are long and you have many alternatives, rotating labels saves horizontal space.
Step 2: Enable label rotation. In the choice experiment display settings, enable vertical or rotated attribute label display.
Step 3: Adjust column widths. With rotated labels, alternative columns can be narrower, allowing more alternatives per row.
Step 4: Test on mobile. Rotated labels may be harder to read on small screens - test the display on mobile devices.
Step 5: Consider abbreviations. If rotation alone is not enough, shorten attribute label text to improve readability.
